Since the majority of the public has access to the web from the comfort of their own home, many wonder why they should bother taking a trip to their local library. After all, they can find the information themselves....or so they think. As librarians, we all know the answer to this question. The internet can only get you so far and can sometimes unknowingly misinform. We must keep abreast of the ever-changing technologies and make the library their first choice. As a result, sites could be designed to be interactive and simple to use. In addition, community forums can be included on the sites which would allow users to participate frequently, keeping patrons interested. Whatever the case, the next generation web will keep libraries on their toes!
